Astro Outreach home page

The astrophysics group at North Carolina State University maintains a committed program of astrophysical research, as well as teaching several undergraduate astronomy and astrophysics courses. Since NC State is a land grant institution, it is one of the missions of the astrophysics group to make our field of research accessible to the public. To this end, a program of Astronomy Open Houses was initiated several years ago at the NCSU Astronomy Lab Site off Reedy Creek Road, in Raleigh, NC. Recently, we have begun partnering with other community organizations in order to expand our ability to provide fun, educational events to the Triangle.

Next event: Spring 2019

The NCSU Astrophysics group will hold an Astro Open house at our Astronomy Lab Site, located off of Reedy Creek Road, during the fall semester of each year. Additionally, we partner with other organizations to hold different events around the Triangle area throughout the year. Check the Events page for information on our upcoming events!
