SASI Rotation

SASI in a Spinning Star

Home Overview Bibliography Project Details Results

Model
To study the effects of rotation we follow the simulations described in Blondin & Shaw (2007).

Geometry
We must make a big deal about cylindrical versus spherical geometry.

Procedure
The SASI is excited by dropping a density perturbation onto the shock. The growth of the SASI modes is measured by tracking the Fourier components of the angular velocity.
